Part II: Model Making with Image Model: From Concept to Creation

Surface Treatment and Color/Finish Application, Final Assembly, and Packaging

Following Part I , Part II continues the inside look at the behind-the-scenes details of our model-making process and will provide insights into the last steps of how we turn concepts into creations.

Step 4: Surface Treatment and Color/Finish Application

Once the raw model assembly successfully passes the fit checks and functional tests, our team will apply the colors, finishes, and textures accordingly to achieve the desired CMF effects and meticulously apply surface treatments to each individual component. We skillfully utilize various techniques such as anodizing , PVD, and fabric wrapping, most of which are performed in-house to guarantee the highest quality standards.

Implementation: In our anodization production room, we focused on achieving a flawless dual-color anodization for the Teacups and a seamless silver to gray-blue gradient effect for the Ferris Wheel's support structure. We also ensured consistent colors for the PVD acrylic and stainless steel of the Ferris Wheel using our custom-made PVD equipment.

Step 5: Final Assembly

During the final assembly phase, our team will integrate all finalized components to showcase the complete model. This phase requires a high level of technical expertise and unwavering attention to detail as we focus on perfecting every aspect for flawless part interchangeability, smooth mechanism functionality, and stability in the electromechanical features.

Implementation: We implemented magnetic interchangeability for easy handling of sheep and seat cushions on the Merry-Go-Round. A precision gear mechanism was designed to enable synchronized rotation of the Teacups and their base. As for the Steam Train, we strategically placed motors, steam generators, light modules, batteries, and other components to navigate the track accurately, emit steam, and illuminate.

Step 6: Packaging

Our packaging serves a dual purpose: to protect the model during transportation, preventing any damage from impacts, while also providing a convenient way to handle and display the models within. We utilize precision packaging cutting machines to offer a diverse range of customizable packaging options.

Implementation: Our amusement park model is carefully packaged with easy access and assembly in mind. The components are neatly arranged within a single casing, with the model's base placed on top for effortless unpacking in the correct assembly sequence. This packaging design is specifically intended to minimize any inconvenience during both assembly and disassembly.
